William Shakespeare does not have any records of birth, however, one church record shows that he was baptized at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon Avon on April 26, 1564. From this, it is believed he was born on or near April 23, 1564, and this is the date scholars acknowledge as William Shakespeare’s birthday. Shakespeare earned his living as an actor and a play writer who worked as a managing partner at “King’s Men”. He is known as one of the best poets of all time, and wrote 37 plays and 154 sonnets. Shakespeare is believed to have died sometime in late April of 1616.
